Our caregivers have a minimum of 2 years experience, while most have been in the field of home-health their entire careers. As employees of Sheridan Care, our caregivers are totally committed, highly qualified and carefully selected individuals. Most importantly they are dependable, warm and compassionate people. We chose only the people that we would want taking care of our own loved ones.

Caregiving comes from a place of love—but even the most dedicated caregivers need care too. 💚

Balancing responsibilities, emotions, and daily routines can become overwhelming over time. That’s why it’s important for caregivers to prioritize rest, take short breaks, ask for support, and make time for their own well-being without guilt.

Caring for yourself is not selfish—it’s necessary. When caregivers feel supported emotionally and physically, they’re able to provide better and healthier care for their loved ones.

You don’t have to carry everything alone.

If your family needs additional support in caregiving, we’re here to help lighten the load with compassionate care you can trust. 💚

Dementia and Alzheimer’s are often used interchangeably, but they are not the same.

Dementia is a general term for symptoms that affect memory, thinking, and daily functioning. Alzheimer’s is the most common cause of dementia, and it is a specific brain disease.

Understanding the difference helps families recognize changes early and seek the right kind of support for their loved ones 💚

Awareness is the first step toward better care.

Some visits just stay with you a little longer 💚

Last week, Susan and Quincy spent time with one of our clients, and it was one of those simple but meaningful moments that quietly reminds you why care matters so much. Sitting together, sharing stories, laughing about little things — it felt less like work and more like visiting family.

Sometimes we get so busy with schedules and responsibilities that we forget how powerful it is to simply be present with someone.

These are the moments we truly treasure at Sheridan Care. The connection, the trust, the memories created in between conversations and quiet moments together.

Connection matters more than we sometimes realize—especially for seniors. 💚

A simple phone call, sharing a meal, listening to their stories, or spending even a few extra minutes together can make a meaningful difference in someone’s day. Small moments of connection can help reduce loneliness, improve emotional well-being, and remind seniors that they are deeply valued and loved.

Sometimes, it’s not about doing something grand. It’s about being present, consistent, and intentional with your time.

Because feeling connected is an important part of feeling cared for.

Looking for ways to better support your loved ones? We’re here to help families create more comfort, connection, and care. 💚

Caregiving is often quiet work—but its impact is anything but small.

It’s in the steady reassurance you give when someone feels anxious. It’s in the patience you show when tasks take a little longer. It’s in the dignity you help preserve every single day.

Most caregivers don’t realize it, but the comfort they bring becomes the reason someone feels safe, seen, and valued. These moments may seem simple—but for the people receiving care, they mean everything.

Know someone with a heart for care? We’d love to connect with them.
