Caltrans is continuing construction on SR-14. If you're driving at night this week, here is what you need to know:

📅 Monday, Sept. 28-Friday, Oct. 2
⏰ Nightly from 8 p.m.-6 a.m.

Full freeway closure:
🚧 Southbound SR-14: Avenue A to Palmdale Boulevard
🚧 Northbound SR-14: Palmdale Boulevard to Avenue A

Ramp closures:
🛣️ Rancho Vista Boulevard: Northbound on-ramp from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
🛣️ Avenue P: Southbound on-ramp from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
🛣️ 10th Street West: Northbound and Southbound on- and off-ramps from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
🛣️ Avenue N: Northbound and Southbound on- and off-ramps from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
🛣️ Avenue M: Northbound and Southbound on- and off-ramps from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Meet this week’s adorable adoptable pets at the County of Los Angeles Palmdale Animal Care Center (38550 Sierra Highway): 🐾

🐕 Sake (A5719231) is an 11-year-old female American Bully. She is leash-trained, does well with other dogs and is always happy to see the volunteers. Don't tell the other animals, but she has become a favorite among the volunteers. Come and see why everyone loves this girl!

🦴 Benny (A5646956) is an eight-year-old Husky. Benny knows how to "sit" and "stay" and does okay on a leash. He tolerates other dogs in the play yard, but does not engage in play. He would much rather get attention from the volunteers! Benny is ready for a family to shower him in love.

🚀 Apollo (A5801094) is a two-year-old male German Shepherd. He is leash-trained and plays well with other dogs in the play yard. This affectionate boy is ready for a family to take him home!

These are just a few of the cute critters available for adoption at the County of Los Angeles Palmdale Animal Care Center. All featured pets are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines. Care Center hours are Monday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.; no appointment is necessary.
