It's Election Day! Make your vote count by turning in your ballot before 5pm today at your local county election office.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who has taken the time to learn about the bond proposal, ask questions, attend meetings, share thoughtful conversations, and participate in the election process.

We're especially grateful to our advisory team, committee members, staff members, community members, and supporters who have dedicated countless hours to providing information and helping ensure voters had the resources they needed to make an informed decision.

Thank you for caring about the future of our students, our school, and our community. Most importantly, thank you for making your voice heard!

There's a great article in this week's issue of The Palmer Journal that shares some helpful information about our district as we approach the July 14th bond vote.

A few facts highlighted in the article:

• The district's general levy has decreased from 0.964 to 0.808 over the past five years.
• The general levy fluctuates with overall property valuations — so as valuations increase, the district's general levy can decrease.
• Thanks to option enrollment, the district receives approximately $1 million in state aid each year, helping support educational opportunities for ALL students.

If you're looking for more information before the vote, we encourage you to take a few minutes to read the article and ask questions. Being informed is the best way to make your decision!

The Roy and Gloria Dinsdale Foundation’s generous $5,000,000 pledge is an incredible investment in the future of Palmer students and our community. Roy and Gloria believed deeply in supporting our Palmer community, and this gift continues their lasting legacy of generosity, service, and commitment to this place we call home. We are extremely grateful for the Foundation’s partnership and belief in our school and community.

This generous gift comes with one important condition — the community must show its support by passing the bond. The Foundation’s goal is to partner with our community, not fund the project alone. If the bond does not pass, the donation will not be given.

Together, the community’s support and the Foundation’s gift make the full project possible. This opportunity only exists if we choose to support it together.
