Juneteenth is a day to honor, reflect, and celebrate the meaning of freedom. Learn about the origins of the Civil Rights Movement at our "Declaration 1776" exhibit, on loan from the The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. Preview the exhibit on Saturday, June 20th from 1:00-3:00PM. It will remain on display through mid-July.

HUZZAH! Saturday, June 20th come celebrate with us! Discover Palmer's exciting and long-forgotten history. In June of 1776, the inhabitants of Palmer unanimously declared their support of independence from Great Britain.

Palmer Historical & Cultural Center:
Hear Ye, Hear Ye: At 11:00AM, bear witness to the bold words of Palmer's founding fathers, read from the steps of the Palmer Historical & Cultural Center!

Palmer Public Library:
Party like it's 1976: From 1:00-3:00PM*, flashback with Palmer's 1976 Bicentennial parade video & photo exhibit. Don't miss the Bicentennial recap at 1:30PM!

Sign the 250th commemorative scroll. View the Revolutionary War museum display and enjoy crafts and cake. Support the Youth Advisory Board at their fundraising table.

*Please note that the library will only be open 1:00-3:00PM for this special event and is typically closed on Saturdays in the summer.

These programs are free to the public and registration is not required.
