My wife and I are voting for Matthew Beck for MatSu Borough Mayor.

We have lived in Alaska for 63 years and in the MatSu Borough for 36 years, and have seen a lot of changes and growth in both.
We have known Matthew for 15 plus years and through our working together at St. Michael Catholic Church, have seen how he listens, collaborates, and makes very thoughtful decisions,
His leadership, team building, and organizational skills are just what we need as our borough faces the many issues and challenges ahead.
We urge you to vote for Matthew Beck as our MatSu Borough Mayor.

I am proud to know and vote for Matthew Beck for Borough Mayor, and so is my son, Grant. He is a first-time voter this year, and he shares my enthusiasm for Matthew Beck and the servant leadership he will bring to the Borough.
I know Matthew will always make decisions based on what’s best for the people he serves, not on politics. He is a willing listener, and he knows how to bring people together to get things done. He’s going to make a great Borough Mayor for all the residents of the Mat-Su.

I believe recycling makes a difference and want more salmon in our rivers and on our dinner plates and shared that in a questionnaire sent by the Alaska Center, who in return decided to endorse the campaign and encourage people to vote for me, without a monetary donation from the organization. My opponent has criticized me for this in her first radio commercials. I think most of us can agree that reducing what goes into the landfill and helping salmon returns are practical ideas, not conservative or liberal matters to politicize. Please vote Matthew Beck for MatSu Mayor. Early in-person voting at the Borough Building in Palmer and the Division of Elections on Bogard begins October 18.

I Support Matthew Beck for Borough Mayor… Here’s Why!

As the Borough Mayoral election draws near, it is fitting to first remember Bert Cottle, a diligent public servant who withdrew from the race for Borough Mayor due to health reasons. Our hearts are certainly with him and his family.

Matthew Beck has always been the best candidate for the job. Matthew and his wife, Teresa, raised three daughters in this community. Matthew understands the value of the quality of life we enjoy here in the Mat Su, and the need to preserve and expand paths of opportunity for our children and grandchildren.

Matthew is also the only candidate with boroughwide experience and the energy to tackle the challenges of this diverse and rapidly growing borough. Do not fall for his opponent’s mean-spirited attacks. They do not represent the real Matthew Beck.

The real Matthew Beck can be found in his six-year record as a Borough Assemblyman, four of which he served as Deputy Mayor. The real Matthew Beck can be found in his demonstrated support for police and state troopers, the Second Amendment, and property tax relief. The real Matthew Beck supports first class schools, our first responders, and putting more salmon in rivers and on dinner plates.

The real Matthew Beck is a great listener. He will work alongside industry and landowners to reduce beetle kill and fire danger. He will continue to advocate for tourism and recreation opportunities, ensuring that this borough remains a great and affordable place to live, work, and play.

I admire Matthew Beck, and I have great respect for him. He is in his prime, he is healthy, and he will hit the road running as your borough mayor.

The very first time I visited Alaska my friends took me to meet and listen to Hobo Jim. It was an awesome time and I have loved his story telling and music ever since. Hobo Jim embodies Alaska and our ideals. Let us rejoice for another Alaskan saint in Heaven.
