🚧 Heads up, Palmer!

If Palmer-Fishhook Road is part of your daily commute, make sure to plan ahead. Beginning June 15 and continuing through July 3, the Palmer side of the Palmer-Fishhook/Trunk Road intersection will be closed to through traffic while DOT works on the new roundabout.

Expect detours, heavier traffic on surrounding roads, and longer travel times, especially during peak hours. If possible, give yourself a little extra time to get where you're going.

Borough Mayor Edna DeVries presented a proclamation declaring May as Older Americans Month. This years theme is "Champion Your Health". Led by the Administration for Community Living (ACL), this theme focuses on empowering older adults to take an active role in their physical and mental well-being, emphasizing prevention, wellness, and self-advocacy. WASI CEO Marlene Munsell and Brenda Shelden Executive Director for Mat-Su Council on Aging were honored to receive the proclamation on behalf of all seniors in the Mat-Su.
