Monday Night Drill

PFD expanded on forcible entry, hose line advancing along with coordinated ventilation search techniques and fire fighter rescue

This past Monday night our department drill brought a culmination of topics together into real world scenarios

The drill focused on wrapping the hydrant and supplying water to the scene as well as deploying hose lines and hose management.

Members also were exposed to incident command as well as forcible entry and primary searches

Members rotated through each of the roles which mimicked typical calls here in Palmerton.

2026-137 Structure Fire

Palmerton Fire was dispatched to the 500 block of Delaware Avenue for a reported structure fire located on the roof.

Chief 701, Assistant 702 along with Engine 713 and Engine 714 responded to find repair work on the roof that caused a fire that extended into the parapet roof. Crews used saws to access the fire and extinguish with water cans

Assisting with the response was Aquashicola Volunteer Fire Company, Bowmanstown Volunteer Fire Company and The Diamond Fire Company of Walnutport - Fire Station for RIT

Today Truck 721 and all our ground ladders are going through UL non destructive testing to make sure all are safe to operate on the fire ground.

Our deepest condolences go out to the family, friends, and members of the Aquashicola Fire Department (Carbon County, PA) following the death of Fire Chief William George.

Chief George’s dedication and service to his community will never be forgotten. Please keep all those affected in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our Fire Chief and former President, William "Bill" George.

For decades, Chief George dedicated his life to the Aquashicola Volunteer Fire Company, serving our department and the Lower Towamensing community with unwavering commitment, steady leadership, and a servant's heart. His countless hours of volunteer services, mentorship, and dedication helped shape the department we are today.

We mourn the loss along with his family. We ask our members, neighboring departments, and our community to keep Bill's family, friends, and our fire company in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest easy, Chief. We'll take it from here.
