Towamensing Township Volunteer Fire Company exists to provide fire suppression and rescue services to the citizens of Towamensing Township and surrounding communities in Carbon and Monroe counties, Pennsylvania. Located in the Village of Trachsville, Towamensing Township, Carbon County, we provide primary 911 coverage for all 28.9 square miles of Towamensing Township, including over half of Beltzville Lake State Park.

Good morning,

as it looks now our anti-rain dances have not worked out in our favor. With a heavy chance of early morning thunderstorms we have to postpone for the second time. New September dates will be put out within a day or two, please keep a lookout for them! We apologize for the rain… we appreciate your patience and understanding…

Vehicle registration is from 10am-12pm with judging starting at 1pm

Community Events | National Night Out & Touch-A-Truck

Our members had the opportunity to attend two great community events this week!

Tuesday: Members attended Palmerton National Night Out. We would like to extend a huge thank you to the Palmerton Police Department for inviting us out and allowing us to be part of a great evening with our community.

Wednesday: Members attended the Carbon County Fair Touch-A-Truck Event. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to bring our apparatus out and interact with everyone who came by.

We are always proud to get our members and apparatus out into the community and enjoy these events with our neighbors.

A huge thank you to everyone who invited us and made these events possible. We look forward to seeing everyone again!

Tonight, members of our department trained at the station on vehicle rescue operations. Members practiced how to properly stabilize a vehicle and safely cut it using our extrication tools.

Training like this helps keep our members prepared for when we’re called to motor vehicle accidents. Taking the time to train allows us to work safely and effectively when seconds count.

We’re proud of our members for continuing to learn and improve their skills so we can better serve our community.

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our Fire Chief and former President, William "Bill" George.

For decades, Chief George dedicated his life to the Aquashicola Volunteer Fire Company, serving our department and the Lower Towamensing community with unwavering commitment, steady leadership, and a servant's heart. His countless hours of volunteer services, mentorship, and dedication helped shape the department we are today.

We mourn the loss along with his family. We ask our members, neighboring departments, and our community to keep Bill's family, friends, and our fire company in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest easy, Chief. We'll take it from here.
