VILLAGE OF PALMYRA
Office of the Village Clerk
PUBLIC STATEMENT REGARDING THE 2025 WAYNE COUNTY FAIR SECURITY AGREEMENT
In light of recent events and inaccurate statements that have circulated regarding the financial handling of the 2025 Wayne County Fair security agreement, it is important to clarify the Village’s records as they pertain specifically to this transaction.
At the March 3, 2025 Village Board meeting, Police Chief Kyle DiNardo requested and received authorization from the Village Board to enter into an agreement with the Wayne County Fair Union Agricultural Society to provide police security detail for the 2025 Wayne County Fair.
Following the Fair, the Village Clerk’s Office invoiced the Wayne County Fair Union Agricultural Society for the agreed-upon $8,856.00. Payment was then received in full from the Union Agricultural Society, recorded as Village revenue, and deposited into the Village’s General Fund in accordance with standard Village financial procedures. Officers who worked the detail were compensated through the Village’s regular payroll process.

This clarification pertains specifically to the financial handling of this agreement, as documented by the Village Clerk’s Office.
