Thank You for an Incredible 2026 CAAP Summit 💛

To every attendee, speaker, sponsor, partner, exhibitor, volunteer, and community member who joined us for the 2026 CAAP Summit: Thank you!

For two days, we came together to learn, collaborate, challenge ideas, share experiences, and strengthen the relationships that move Community Action forward across Pennsylvania and beyond.

This year’s theme, ✨ Efficiency with Empathy: Where Innovation Meets Humanity ✨, sparked meaningful conversations about leadership, workplace culture, technology, lived experience, partnerships, and the future of the work we do every day.

What made this Summit so special was the people.
The honest conversations.
The shared ideas.
The willingness to learn from one another.
The reminder that even in challenging times, community remains one of our greatest strengths.

Thank you to our sponsors for investing in this work.
Thank you to our speakers for sharing your expertise and lived experiences.
Thank you to every attendee for showing up with openness, curiosity, and commitment to your communities.

Community Action is stronger because of all of you. 💛

We’re grateful to be part of this network and excited for what comes next.

Sometimes changing a future starts with helping a student believe new possibilities are within reach.🎓

Our latest article highlights Generation Next, a program of Community Action Lehigh Valley that is helping high school students across Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton prepare not only for college admission, but for long-term success beyond graduation.

Through mentorship, career exploration, college readiness support, and hands-on learning opportunities, students are gaining:
💡 Confidence
🤝 Connections
📚 Access to resources
🌱 Exposure to new opportunities and career pathways

One especially meaningful moment came during the program’s first-ever Job Shadow Interview event, where students connected directly with community mentors, including William Allen alumni who had once walked the same halls.

Programs like Generation Next remind us that Community Action is not only about responding to immediate need. It is also about investing in long-term opportunity, leadership, and the future of our communities.

Because when we invest in young people, we invest in what’s possible. 💛

What if leadership is less about moving faster and more about helping people feel seen? 💛

In the latest episode of the ThinkingCAAP podcast, co-hosts Beck Moore and Heather Holloway sit down with Marie Conley, founder of Conley Consulting, for a powerful conversation about workplace culture, empathy, resilience, and the human side of leadership.
Marie shares insights from her work across nonprofits, healthcare, higher education, and workforce engagement, along with her deeply personal journey navigating a rare disease diagnosis that changed the way she views leadership, energy, and connection.

This episode explores:
💡 Why strong leaders create space for people to feel heard and valued
🤝 The importance of intentional connection in workplace culture
🧠 Burnout, boundaries, and protecting your “points”
🌱 How empathy and kindness strengthen organizations
📊 Why onboarding and workplace belonging matter more than we realize

One of the most meaningful reminders from this conversation: “Big things happen when we make the little things count.”
Whether you lead a team, support others, or are simply trying to create healthier and more human-centered workplaces, this conversation is filled with wisdom worth reflecting on.

Wellness Wednesday Reminder: You do not have to earn rest.

For so many people doing meaningful work, rest becomes something we postpone until everything is finished.
But the work is never truly finished.

Taking care of yourself is not separate from the work.
It helps sustain the work.

Today, give yourself permission to pause:
🌱 Step outside for a few minutes
💧 Drink water before your next meeting
📵 Take one short break without a screen
🧠 Check in with yourself

Small moments matter more than we realize.
