sorry for the late post. wanted to thank everyone that came out and supported us at our pancake breakfast on memorial day. its greatly appreciated and great to see so many people. special thanks to our FD neighbors Madison Charter Township Fire Department and Blissfield Township Fire Dept. for stopping by as well even if it was a short visit. hope everyone that came got a sneak peak of the new fire station.

Subcontractors have stepped up to the plate and started their work, plumbing started 1st, with electrical to follow. Things are still moving along nicely. Also a sneek peak of what the trucks will look like inside.

Update!! We have a roof!! Well the start of one. They will finish sheathing the roof tomorrow then turn it over to the utility subcontractors for a while so they can do their thing. Then Papenhagen Construction Inc. Will return and finish. Things are moving along nicely.

An honor well deserved!!

This Friday, Lenawee County will honor the legacy of longtime Sheriff Richard L. Germond with the dedication of the newly renamed Sheriff Richard L. Germond Building at the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Germond dedicated 44 years to law enforcement, including 36 years serving as Sheriff of Lenawee County, leaving behind a legacy of service that helped shape generations of public safety in our community.

The dedication ceremony will take place:

Earlier this week the siren was removed from the current fire station and will refurbished and installed at the new station. Though considered outdated technology by some it still plays a vital role in our community.
