Over the last 4 years I have been serving, working in Newport News with Gethsemane Baptist Church at The Transformation Place, Bishop Dr. Dwight Riddick, Pastor, Virginia Beach with First Lynnhaven GLOBAL Baptist Church, Dr. Luther S Allen III, Pastor and at Second Calvary Baptist Church, Dr. Geoffrey Van Guns, Pastor in the roles of Youth and Young Adult/College Pastor. Each of these ministries poured into me an enormous amount of love as well as provided for me a space to function in ministry. These spaces also gave me a closer relationship with new mentors and spiritual leaders. I am a better version of who God has called me to be as a result of these pastors, these church families and especially the Youth and Young Adults of these amazing congregations!
From 2014-2020 I served as the Youth and Young Adult Pastor of Mount Hope Baptist Church of Fredericksburg, VA, under the leadership of Dr. Raymond A. Bell, Jr. Throughout those 6 years, not only did I gain a spiritual father in the ministry, but I also experienced God grow amazing relationships between “The HOPE” family and me. After 4 years of being away from “The HOPE,” God has taken me back to the Mount Hope Baptist Church family. Today, January 14, 2024, I began serving in the full-time position of Minister of Family Engagement and Innovative Strategy. This position is two fold. Building ministry that targets families who have youth and children is one component. The additional component is working church-wide with all ministries to enhance current culture relevancy within the overall life of the church.
I am excited to BE BACK and to begin this NEW opportunity in building KINGDOM!
