Since 1987, LMWRT has been responding to water emergencies within Fluvanna and Albemarle County as well as the entire commonwealth of Virginia and surrounding states. LMWRT members are trained in swiftwater rescue, SCUBA, ice rescue; high and low angle rope rescues, underwater crime scene investigation, underwater vehicle recovery and boat handling.
