Hot summer days, heavy gear, and long responses make hydration a top priority. Thanks to DripDrop and National Volunteer Fire Council for the generous donation of DripDrop electrolyte drink mix as part of the 2026 DripDrop Hydration Giveback Campaign. This will help us fight dehydration and keep our crews at their best!

🚨 MVA - HWY 150 & McCracken Rd NE 🚨

This morning at 7:57 AM, Palmyra Fire Department was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of HWY 150 & McCracken Road NE.

Upon arrival, crews found two vehicles involved in the collision with no entrapment. Firefighters secured the scene, assisted with traffic control, and ensured the area was safe while emergency personnel evaluated those involved.

Harrison County Hospital EMS evaluated two patients on scene, and both patients signed refusals after assessment.

We encourage everyone to remain attentive while traveling, especially during the busy morning commute, and to slow down when approaching emergency scenes to help keep first responders and motorists safe. 🚒

🚨 MVA - 925 HWY 64 NE 🚨

This morning at 8:55 AM, Palmyra Fire Department was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident in the 900 block of Highway 64 NE.

Crews arrived on scene to find a two-vehicle collision with no entrapment. Firefighters secured the scene and assisted with evaluating both drivers involved in the accident. Fortunately, neither driver required transport, and signatures of refusal were obtained on scene.

We would like to remind everyone to remain alert while traveling and always drive safely.

🚒 2026 Crusade for Children Wrap-Up 🚒

The Palmyra Fire Department would like to thank our incredible community for your overwhelming support during the 2026 WHAS Crusade for Children!

Because of your generosity, we are proud to announce that we were able to raise a total of $22,430.79 for this amazing cause. Every donation, honk, wave, and word of encouragement helped make this possible.

The members of Palmyra Fire Department will be going door to door throughout the community this morning beginning at 9:00 AM collecting donations for the WHAS Crusade for Children!

Every dollar donated helps support children with needs right here in our local communities. We appreciate everyone’s continued support and generosity during this year’s Crusade collection weekend!

🚒 CRUSADE FOR CHILDREN ROADBLOCK 🚒

Palmyra Fire Department is set up at the four-way stop in Palmyra today collecting donations for the WHAS Crusade for Children!

Our members will be out collecting from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM, and every dollar donated helps support children with needs throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
