April is National Safe Digging Month! The Village is a member of JULIE1call and we'd like to remind homeowners and professional excavators to contact JULIE before every digging project, regardless of the size or depth. Putting up a fence, installing a mailbox post, building a deck or patio and planting trees and shrubs are all examples of projects that require a notification to JULIE first, which is a free service.

Member utilities have 3 business days to respond to your request. So if you want to start your outdoor project on the weekend, contact JULIE on Wednesday to begin digging on Saturday. JULIE’s agents are available to receive and process requests 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call 811 anytime to submit your locate request or use their free, self-service online option called E-Request at www.JULIEBeforeYouDig.com.

Payment Options and Info -
REMINDER: Scottville Water bills go out on the 15th of every month and are DUE the 1st of the next month. Due to continuing issues with the post office, we want to make sure our customers know that you can avoid Late Fees by any of the following payment methods other than regular mail:
1. Drop off pmt in Drop Box on the door of the Scottville Town Hall
2. Online pmt through our website for a small fee at www.scottvillewater.com
3. Pay through your bank's online Bill Pay service - needs to be sent at least 10 days before due date
4. Prepay account. Water bill amount will be deducted from the credit each month.

*Of course, payments can always be sent by mail but we suggest sending them at least 10 days before due date. Unfortunately, this is no guarantee that they will be received on time. We will make every effort to work with you as we all deal with the mail issues. Please CALL or TEXT us if you have questions about these options or if you dont receive your bill.

**Boil Order Alert and Update**
Water service has been restored after being damaged by a local utility company. The following customers are on Boil Order until further notice: those on Four Corners Rd, then north on Tick Ridge Rd, Rabbit Rd, Willow Rd, Modesto Scottville Rd, Phillies Rd, Orange Rd, and Berean Church Rd. Please boil any water that is to be used for drinking or food preparation.
