Have You Tried Massage Balls?

Those small massage balls can be surprisingly useful for areas of the body that often feel tight or overworked.

Massage Therapy Balls give us a way to slow down and bring focused attention to our muscles and connective tissue. By applying gentle, sustained pressure and exploring how an area feels, we can often discover places that need a little extra attention.

You can try them:

• Feet — especially after a day of standing or walking
• Hips and glutes — areas that can become tight from sitting
• Back — to explore areas of tension and stiffness
• Shoulders — where we often carry tension
• Other areas — wherever you notice tightness or restricted movement

You don't have to spend a long time. Start with just a few minutes, breathe, pay attention to what you feel, and let your body guide you.

I've been using massage balls regularly for years because they're simple to use and effective for loosening tight muscles.

Check out my blog post for more information, ideas, and one amazing way they recently helped me

One season flows into another, and each one brings its own set of changes. A yogi simply looks at the changes and acts accordingly. Here are some best practices and tips to keep your body and mind fit over the summer.

You could choose a favorite tip and practice it regularly, or do all of them.

1. The Secret Is in Your Breath
The next time you have a few minutes before you rush out for the day, try Sitali Pranayama, the body-cooling breath.

Stick your tongue out and curl the sides of the tongue upward toward the center.
Breathe in through the mouth, hold the breath, and slowly exhale through the nose.
Repeat 5 to 10 times.

2. Drink Up
The more you hydrate, the better. Your body is about 70 percent water, so make sure there is plenty of liquid coming in.

Besides drinking extra fluids, you could add alternate nostril breathing to your routine. Here is how: https://yourhealthandjoy.com/4-summertime-health-tips/
