The Academic Center (AC) at Gunn High School Welcome to the GHSAC The A.C. is primarily a drop-in facility where students are welcomed during their prep period, brunch, free period, lunch or after-school.

Feel free to come in and type/print assignments, surf the web, finish last minute homework, cram for quizzes and tests, or just relax in-between your classes with friends (just be sure to keep your voices down, the library is next door.) We have an entire lab of Mac computers, a few Macs/PCs solely for the A.C., printers, textbooks and various supplies and reference materials for use in the Academ

ic Center. While students may work together in the A.C., each student is responsible for adhering to Gunn’s Academic Honesty/Integrity policies regarding cheating (including copying homework) and plagiarism. The Gunn High School Academic Center is an inclusive and free support center for all students and has a respect for students’ diverse learning styles and cultural/academic backgrounds. To improve academic performance, the A.C. is both a place and an opportunity for students to receive tutoring, work individually on homework/test studying, and in small groups to collaborate on projects. recruits student tutors and excellent adult community volunteers who have demonstrated competence in various subjects to provide quality tutoring to students requesting support in their academics.
