Amidst every horrific event that has gone on in our society, with racial tension and injustices heightening, we the leaders of The Black Student Union pause to acknowledge that our community is simply exhausted! We are hurting! Racial injustice has been a problem dating all the way back to the days of slavery, and as a people we are simply tired! But we will not be silenced! On behalf of the leaders of The Black Student Union, every Black student, and faculty on Trinity’s campus, we ask that you not remain silent during this time, either! We ask that you do more than just share a post! Take a stance, take action with us. Your silence is doing more damage than you think and know! Educate every person around you about the injustices that are surrounding minorities everyday!! Please don’t remain silent! Please do make your voices heard! This is how you at Trinity can help us! Each and everyday of your lives fight and stand up for those who have been silenced and aren’t being heard! Use the privilege you have to help stand with the underprivileged! Stand with us or be against us!✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
~ If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressors.
