Palos Park Police & Palos Fire Protection District announce our joint "commUnity" Night initiative.

Police Commissioner Polk said, “We are very excited to announce our joint commUnity Night initiative. Yes, we know the “U” in commUnity is capitalized — that’s because this program is for YOU, while also strengthening the unity between the community and those who have the privilege of serving you.”

This initiative will begin in July and run through the end of the year. Each month, the same program information will be offered on two separate Tuesday evenings. If a topic interests you, you will have two opportunities to stop by and interact with members of the Police and Fire Departments.

Palos Park Deputy Chief Chris Hughes defined the programs as “A casual information opportunity for the public and their public servants to meet members of the Palos Park Police and Palos Fire District while learning about a variety of public safety topics”
Palos Fire Battalion Chief Aron Rutter noted, “Palos Fire staff is excited to work with PPPD staff and kick off this informative community outreach program this July.”

The sessions will be held on July 7th and July 14th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Kaptur Administrative Center (Palos Park Village Hall). The first evening will include a meet-and-greet, an overview of the program, and a question-and-answer session.
