A huge thank you to the Palos Park Woman’s Club for their generous donation to the library!

Because of their support, we were able to purchase new laptops for library programs. These laptops will be used for our popular program Coding for Kids which introduces coding through step-by-step instruction, interactive activities, and hands-on projects.

The new laptops will also help us expand our technology offerings and create new programs for our community in the future.

Donations to the library provide greater access to resources, learning opportunities, and programs for all ages.

Save the Date: Our library fundraiser will be held on Saturday, October 3rd. Stay tuned for more information on how you can support your library and community!

The Illinois State Treasurer is holding $1 billion in unclaimed funds for Illinoisans. The State holds these funds until they are claimed by either the original owner or their heirs.

A representative from the Illinois State Treasurer’s office will be at the Palos Park Public Library to assist you in checking if the State is holding any money owed to you through its ICash program. Drop in to see what you are owed!

Assistance will be given on a first come, first served basis. No registration needed.

Kindness has a way of coming full circle. ❤️

When one of our young patrons discovered a valuable item tucked inside a library book, she immediately turned it in to our staff. We were able to reunite it with the book's previous borrower, who later stopped by to leave a heartfelt thank-you note for the kind young community member.

We're so proud to see honesty, kindness, and community shining so brightly in our library. Stories like this remind us that the best things found at the library aren't always on the shelves. 📚💙

Free Chicago Botanic Garden Tickets for Palos Park Library Cardholders!

Starting Tuesday, July 14, Palos Park Library cardholders can pick up two free tickets to the Chicago Botanic Garden.

Each ticket includes admission for one person and free parking.

Visit the Front Desk to claim your tickets. Limit two tickets per household with a valid Palos Park Library card. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
