National Police Week is a time to honor the men and women who put on the badge each day with courage, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to serving others.

To the Officers, Dispatchers, Civilian staff, and families of the Pampa Police Department, thank you. Your dedication to this community does not go unnoticed. Day after day, you answer difficult calls, stand in the gap during moments of crisis, and continue to serve with professionalism, compassion, and resilience.

Policing is more than a profession; it is a calling rooted in sacrifice and service. I am incredibly proud to serve alongside the members of this department and grateful for the work they do to protect and strengthen our community.

During this National Police Week, we also pause to remember and honor the law enforcement officers across this nation who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their legacy will never be forgotten.

Thank you, Pampa, for your continued support of your Police Department and all who wear the badge.

👮‍♂️ Pampa Police Department at the Pampa High School Career Fair

Today members of the Pampa Police Department had the opportunity to visit Pampa High School and speak with students during their Career Fair about careers in law enforcement, dispatch, and public service.

We enjoyed meeting so many great students and sharing what it means to serve our community. Events like this are a great way to connect with the next generation and help them learn about opportunities in public safety.

Who knows, some of the future officers protecting Pampa may have been in that room today.

Thank you to Pampa High School for inviting us to participate!

On March 3rd, 2026, at approximately 9:50am, Pampa Emergency Communications received a residential alarm call at a residence in the 2000 Block of North Christine in Pampa. Upon arriving at the location, Pampa Police Officers determined that a burglary had occurred and that the suspect(s) were no longer on scene.

While investigating that scene, Officers were informed of the location of a possible suspect who was currently at a residence in the 1100 block of Ripley. The reporting person further advised that they had observed items stolen from the residence on N. Christine at the residence on Ripley.

Upon the officers' arrival at that residence, they briefly made contact with a person who refused to cooperate and subsequently barricaded themselves inside the home. Further information was obtained that there could be multiple weapons and narcotics inside the home.

Officers then established a perimeter and began attempting contact with the people inside. Additional units and Randall County SWAT were requested to respond to the scene. As negotiations continued, several occupants of the residence later willingly exited and were detained. After a search warrant for the residence was obtained, SWAT executed the warrant, clearing the structure of any additional suspects inside. The scene was then released to the Criminal Investigation Division for further investigation.

A total of three suspects were subsequently taken into custody and booked into the Gray County Jail. Those arrested were:

34-year-old Mike Aiken, Burglary of a Habitation
17-year-old Jeremiah Diaz, Burglary of a Habitation
39-year-old Rose Diaz, Interference with Public Duties

This case remains under investigation. Our sincere thanks go out to our community partners who assisted with this call. Those assisting were the Gray County Sheriff’s Office, Gray County Constables Pct. 1/3 and 2/4, Randall County Sheriff’s Office, Pampa Fire Dept, Gray County EMS, and Pampa ESU.
