The Cycle of Violence is more than a pattern. It can become a painful, confusing reality that makes someone feel trapped, exhausted, and unsure of what to believe. 💜

It often begins with tension building, followed by an incident of abuse. Then may come apologies, promises, affection, or a period of calm that brings hope that things will finally change. But without intervention, the cycle can begin again.

That calm can make leaving even more complicated. Loving someone does not mean you deserve to be hurt. Apologies do not erase abuse. And the responsibility for breaking the cycle does not belong to the person being abused.

Understanding the cycle helps us respond with compassion instead of judgment. If someone you love is experiencing abuse, listen, believe them, and remind them that they are not alone.

There is help. There is hope. And the cycle can be broken🦋💜

Sé alguien a quien puedan acudir. 💜🩵

As we head into the first full week back to school, it’s the perfect time to check in on more than just grades, homework, and school supplies. 💜

Our children and teens are building friendships, navigating new relationships, and learning what healthy connections look like.

💚 Healthy relationships include respect, trust, communication, boundaries, and feeling safe to be yourself.

🚩 Unhealthy relationships can include control, jealousy, manipulation, disrespect, pressure, or making someone feel afraid.

Let’s make this school year a time to not only help our kids succeed in the classroom, but also recognize what healthy relationships look like and know when something isn’t right.

Know the signs. Start the conversation. Be someone they can come to. 💜🩵

📚 First Day of School: The Do’s & Don’ts 📸

That first-day-of-school picture is a tradition we love! But before you hit “post,” take a moment to think about what information you’re sharing about your child. 💜

🚫 DON’T share:
• Your child’s school name or location
• Their exact age or grade
• Their teacher’s name
• Their classroom number
• Your child’s daily schedule or routine
• Any other details that could help someone identify or locate them

✅ DO:
• Take that adorable first-day photo! 🥹📚
• Celebrate their excitement and accomplishments
• Keep identifying details out of the photo and caption
• Check the background for school signs, uniforms, name tags, bus numbers, or addresses
• Think before you post: Could this information help a stranger find my child?

We want our children to have a safe, happy school year. 💜 Protecting them starts with the information we choose to share online.

Post the picture. Share the milestone. Protect the details. 💜
