U.S. Citizen Calls for Accountability After Minab School Strike: No Leaflets, No Warnings, Children Dead
By James Beistle
Historian & Remaining Member, Team Amber Alert (formerly 501(c)3)
The Minab girls’ school strike—over 100 children killed—exposed a failure no one can ignore: no leaflets dropped, no warnings broadcast, no evacuation call. Satellite maps showed the school right next to an IRGC base; yet the targeting chain—analysts, briefers, commanders—let it slide.
As an American of Hebrew-German descent, I’m not ashamed of my roots. I’m proud of them. But pride doesn’t excuse silence when kids die. The Joint Staff’s CJCSI 3160.01D, our collateral damage playbook, demands warnings when civilians are at risk—yet none came. It lets AI glitches or human bias flip a classroom from “green” to “red” without question.
I demand a rewrite: mandate pre-strike warnings unless the Secretary of Defense approves in writing. Force every signer to swear—no racial, religious, or revenge motive. Fail? UCMJ tribunal. No more hiding behind “collateral.” Children aren’t bargaining chips.
Team Amber Alert—once a nonprofit, now just me—exists to remember. This isn’t politics; it’s duty. My Native American ancestors knew what happens when targets get “improper”—they were victims too. We don’t repeat history.
