We have received a number of complaints about speeding on Hickory Street. The posted speed limit on Hickory Street is 25mph so beware. And before you all start, yes we have better things to do but we deal with complaints as we get them so don’t speed and you won’t have anything to complain about.

The Pamplico Police Department just finished our kids summer self defense classes held 6/10/2024-7/24/2024. We had a great group of kids who put forth a lot of effort in learning techniques in self defense and building confidence. Big thanks to Spencer Selmon and Swampfox Jiu-Jitsu for the instruction.

Thank you Chad and Shane of the Pamplico Police Department for sharing some vital knowledge with our zombie survival campers. They shared situational awareness and reacting to an active shooter situation or active attacker. Great life skills and knowledge to know be it a zombie invasion or any other emergency!

The Pamplico Police Department has partnered with Swampfox Jiu-Jitsu to offer a free self defense and anti bullying class during summer break from school. This is free to kids from 6-16 years of age. Kids attending will receive a free rash guard for the class. Spots are limited so call Pamplico Town Hall to register.

Big thanks to Swamp Fox Jiujitsu and the City of Florence Police Department for allowing our officers to attend their defensive tactics and ground defense training. Thanks to Spencer Selmon for allowing those training sessions to be held at Swamp Fox. Great instruction by Leigh Manley.

It's always an honor and privilege for Swampfox to host the 's Defensive Tactics training. It's been fascinating to watch their curriculum grow year over year to not just be more effective but safer for everyone involved. Great work ladies and gents. Thank you for your service and sacrifice to the Florence community! Special shout out to for leading some stellar sessions!
