🔔The school bells are almost ringing🔔

This means that we will be ending our 49th season on August 9th to allow our staff and community members to prepare for the upcoming school year🌊

We are currently experiencing issues with the phone lines at the Kitchell Park Shed and Pana Pool, and they are temporarily out of service. We are working with CTI to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. If you need immediate assistance in contacting either location, please call City Hall at 217-562-3626.

Great News: We are re-opening today! We missed being poolside with everyone🩵

A huge thank you to the crews that hustled over the last several days, which greatly shortened this unexpected closure👏

Reminder: we can only accept cash and check!

Unfortunately, the pool will be closed for the next several days. There will be an update when we can reopen. Upon reopening, we ask that absolutely no food or beverages be brought in from outside, unless there is a medical necessity to do so. The concession area is stocked with food and drink that can be purchased and consumed in the designated picnic area. We also ask that absolutely no glass containers of any kind be brought to the facility. Thank you for your patience as we work to get the pool back open for the remainder of the season

The Pana Community Swimming Pool is proud to offer group swimming lessons again for our 49th season!🌊

We are offering multiple session lengths and schedules to provide more flexibility for families:

🔆5 weekly sessions with guided home practice
🔆 5 consecutive weekday sessions

☀️30 minute sessions for beginner swimmers
☀️45 minute sessions for more advanced swimmers

Due to the unseasonably cool temperatures, the pool must close today, Monday, June 22. Let's hope this weather changes soon so we can enjoy some pool time!

We were really hoping the storms would have passed by before the next round this evening, but it looks like they could linger for a while. We are making the decision to close due to weather. We hope to see you tomorrow!

Tomorrow, Saturday, June 13, the pool will be closed for the day. We know this is frustrating, but we have very limited staff available this day which affects our ability to staff the pool in a manner we feel is safe for our patrons. Thank you for your understanding! We will see you Sunday!
