Bay County Animal Control is currently full, and we need your help finding homes for the animals in our care.

Beginning Thursday, Sept. 3, through Tuesday, Sept. 8, adoption fees will be waived for all available dogs and cats. We currently have 36 dogs and 28 cats available for adoption, with animals of all ages, sizes and personalities waiting to meet their families.

Adopted animals are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccinations before leaving the shelter.

Please note that the shelter will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day, and will reopen Tuesday.

Bay County Animal Control is located at 6401 Bayline Drive in Panama City.

Who LOVES Christmas?
We sure do, especially the lights!

Oaks by the Bay Park in Historic St. Andrews is one of the best FREE light displays around. It’s free because of great community sponsors and an amazing team of volunteers to set up and maintain the lights (literally, they work year-round)

To help fund the lights, we are doing “Checkout Charity” this month, asking you to round up your change to help light up the park! (You can totally round up even more if you’d like)

We donate 100% of the roundups to the local nonprofit that coordinates the funds and logistics to make this event happen each year.

So, you can support us AND the community @ the same time!

If you have received one of Roo’s business cards-the voting link does not work yet. The voting website isn’t normally open till after the holidays. Apparently the Waterfront Partnership is looking into another option for the website as it was expensive, but hopefully the link won’t change…
