Great Horned Owl Owlets......Great horned owl babies (owlets) are white, fluffy, and "horned" with large yellow eyes, hatching after a ~5-week incubation. They grow rapidly from softball-sized to full-grown in 8–9 weeks, often appearing on branches (branchers) around 6 weeks. If found alone, they are often learning to fly, so only rescue them if obviously injured or abandoned.

I spent a couple of days in Central Florida this weekend chasing Raptors: Eagles, Ospreys, Owls and Snail Kites with Dick Vautrinot. Awesome trip and I have been going through my, over 1500, images and here is a few of the Ospreys. I have photos of fuzzy baby owls coming soon to Facebook!

This photo is of a friend of mine captured on an iPhone 17 in my living room and precessed with Ai. I believe Ai is another tool in the photographers toolbox. There are many mistakes but it is getting better!

How AI Will Change Photography
Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming photography. Rather than replacing photographers, AI acts
as a powerful creative tool that improves workflow, enhances image quality, and can even generate
entirely new visuals.
1. Editing Will Become Almost Instant
AI can automatically retouch skin, lighting, and color. It can remove unwanted objects such as power
lines, people, or clutter. It can replace skies, change backgrounds, reduce noise, and sharpen images.
For professionals this means much faster editing workflows and more time spent shooting rather than
editing.
2. Cameras Will Become Smarter
Modern cameras already use AI for eye tracking autofocus, subject detection for animals and vehicles,
and computational photography that combines multiple images for better exposure and dynamic range.
Future cameras may even predict motion and automatically select optimal settings.
3. AI Will Generate Entire Images
AI can now create photorealistic portraits, landscapes, fashion images, and product photography
without a traditional camera. Some advertising and marketing companies already use synthetic imagery
instead of traditional photoshoots.
4. Old Photos Can Be Restored
AI tools can repair scratches and damage in old photographs, upscale low resolution images, colorize
black and white photos, and restore historic family pictures with remarkable accuracy.
5. The Photographer's Role Will Shift
Photographers will increasingly act as creative directors and visual storytellers. Skills such as
composites

I have been doing image restoration. These images are almost 100 years old of Maria Lygia. I am sharing an image of the originals next to my mouse to give perspective. The new images are cleaned up and resized in HQ and printable as a 4x5 print. I can help if you need help with this type of service.

Compared with most herons, Green Herons are short and stocky, with relatively short legs and thick necks that are often drawn up against their bodies. They have broad, rounded wings and a long, dagger like bill. They sometimes raise their crown feathers into a short crest.

These guys are so difficult to photograph with its top-heavy physique, energetic flight, and piercing rattle, the Belted Kingfisher seems to have an air of self-importance as it patrols up and down rivers and shorelines. It nests in burrows along earthen banks and feeds almost entirely on aquatic prey, diving to catch fish and crayfish with its heavy, straight bill. These ragged-crested birds are a powdery blue-gray; males have one blue band across the white breast, while females have a blue and a chestnut band. Every now and then I get lucky!
