Student Advocacy Center, Inc. We provide Preventive Education, Representative Assistance & Restorative Methods to help students receive max class time in Least Restrictive Environment.

The mission of the Student Advocacy Center, Inc. (SAC) is to provide Preventive Education, Representative Assistance, and Restorative Methods to help students receive the maximum amount of classroom time in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).

- Advocates available for Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences, ESE Determinations and Reviews, and/or Disciplinary Proceedings

- Restorative Methods
- Offer alternative methods of discipline to school and district officials which will provide students more classroom time in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE)
- Programs that build/makeover character and assists transition into productive citizenship
- Lobby Local, District, State, and Federal Government Officials to create and/or update laws and policies which negatively affect students
- Lobby for Classroom Management, Culture and Sensitivity Training for SRD, School and/or District Personnel


SAC provides confidential advising to Bay District School (BDS) students who have allegedly violated BDS policy, who wish to file a complaint or who wish to have someone accompany them to a Parent/Student/Teacher conference. We also provide assistance in helping parents and students with the ESE policies. Our advocates are experts on the Student Code of Conduct and School Disciplinary Policies, as well as corresponding policies and disciplinary procedures. We use this expertise to ensure that our clients have the information they need to effectively defend themselves and are treated with respect and dignity throughout the disciplinary process.
