A little caffeine goes a long way on the road to a new school year!

A huge thank you to Manuel & Thompson P.A., Personal Injury Attorneys for treating our BDS employees to complimentary Back-to-School coffee at local Starbucks locations this morning. It was such a thoughtful way to give our team a little extra boost as they prepared for the first day!

We are so grateful for community partners who continually find ways, big and small, to show our employees how much they are appreciated.

Thank you, Manuel & Thompson!

Swatting calls tried to ruin the first day of school at two of our campuses this morning.

They didn’t succeed.

Our schools followed their safety protocols, law enforcement responded, and most importantly, all of our students and staff are safe. Families at the impacted schools were notified directly.

We will always take any potential threat seriously, and we are incredibly grateful for the quick response of our school administrators and our law enforcement partners.

But we also refuse to allow false threats designed to create fear and disruption to define our day.

Today is still the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. Across Bay District Schools, classrooms are full, teachers are teaching, students are reconnecting with friends, and a brand-new school year is underway.

That’s our story today.

Welcome back, BDS. We're going to have a great year!

It’s the last night of summer!

Set those alarms, get to bed early, eat a good breakfast in the morning, and give yourself plenty of time to get to school. We’ve been preparing all summer, and we can’t wait to welcome our students back.

Have a wonderful first day, BDS!

Thank you to our friends at the United Way of Northwest Florida and iHeartMedia Inc. for always showing up for our students and families!

Tomorrow, August 8, we encourage our Bay County community to help Stuff the Bus with school supplies for local students. Stop by any of our three participating Walmart locations (Pier Park, 23rd Street, or Lynn Haven) and help make sure our students start the school year ready to learn!

Every donation makes a difference.

Two days until Stuff the Bus!

Come out, shop, and donate supplies so no local teacher has to pay out of pocket this year. Grab a little extra at Walmart this week and hand it over.

📅 Saturday, August 8th
🕘 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
📍 Walmart locations: 23rd St., Callaway, Chipley, Lynn Haven, Marianna, and Pier Park
