🇺🇸 Battle of Do Ab Anniversary 25MAY11 🇺🇸

Today marks the 8th anniversary of the Battle of Do Ab, a day in which 42 Ironmen took on 400-500 heavily armed Taliban fighters and lived to tell about it! We were inserted by air to a tiny LZ in Nuristan Province, AFG and immediately came under accurate and withering enemy fire.

We slugged it out for over 13 straight hours, and with the help of our incredible air assets beat back wave after wave of enemy doing their best wipe us out. When the sun rose the next day, we had killed 270 enemy fighters and wounded upwards of a hundred more. All 42 Red Bull’s left the battle without a scratch.

With the grace of God, our incredible training, and those brave warriors in the aircraft above...we returned home. On this anniversary, I want to wish all my fellow Do Ab survivors a very happy “alive day.” Thank you brothers for standing beside me and for bringing me home to my family. I will continue to strive to live a life worthy of our second chance.

*To hear me tell the story from my point of view, see the video posted in the comments section.
