Miami County keeps residents and businesses informed of emergencies and other time-sensitive information through Everbridge, a high-speed emergency notification system.

The County, Kansas Sheriff Office will use the Everbridge system to keep you informed of emergency information that may impact your safety. Once you opt-in, you will receive free notifications via call, text and/or email. Messages may regard evacuations, law enforcement activity, missing children, boil water notices or other information that you are asked to take immediate action or precautions for.

Do you need your flu shot? The Miami County Health Department is offering flu shots by appointment.

Miami County Health Department is now offering flu and COVID-19 vaccines by appointment!

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommends individual decision-making for COVID-19 vaccination:

- Adults 65+: Vaccination based on individual decision-making.

- Individuals 6 months–64 years: Vaccination based on individual decision-making, with greatest benefit for those at increased risk for severe disease.

It's happening this weekend. Bring the family and your friends to the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Hillsdale EMS Station.

The ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m. There will be hot dogs and cake. Tours of the building will take place until 1:00p.m.

We are excited to bring back our Children's Fall Festival for 2025. Swing by to chat with you local first responders and give the kids a hands on experience with our specialty units and gear.

The Miami County Sheriff's Office will be putting on a demonstration with K9 Clay at 1:30pm. We hope to see you there!

Another busy month for your Miami County EMS crews! Our Paramedics and EMTs ran 452 calls for service in August and transported over 6,000 miles! We are also excited to announce the promotion of a Lieutenant (pics to come!). Stay tuned for more updates from your MICO EMS!
