On National Women’s Day, I’m proud to stand alongside the many women who serve our communities selflessly with strength and integrity. Every day, I see women in law enforcement, the courtroom, and across the justice system working tirelessly to protect others and uphold the law. Their leadership and commitment to justice make a difference in the lives of many.

Today is Safer Internet Day, and Indiana communities are joining partners around the world to promote safer, more responsible use of the internet. This year’s theme, “Together for a Better Internet,” reminds us that families, schools, businesses, and community leaders all play a role in keeping digital spaces safe.

As more of daily life moves online, risks like cyberbullying, scams, and online exploitation, especially for children and teens, continue to grow. Safer Internet Day is an opportunity to stay informed, practice safe online habits, and start important conversations about respectful and responsible digital behavior.

Together, we can help create a safer online experience for everyone.

The holiday rush allows many opportunities for thieves, from parking lot break-ins to porch package theft. A little awareness goes a long way. Stay cautious, protect your belongings, and enjoy a safe, happy holiday season!

Gift cards = gifts, not payments.🚫

If someone asks you to buy a gift card for an “emergency,” “fee,” or “urgent situation,” it’s a scam. Scammers use fake ads, websites, apps, and even generated calls or texts, to impersonate people you trust.

Once you share the code, the money is gone. Stay cautious this holiday season.

Got a text saying you missed a delivery or owe a toll? Notice a message asking you to “act fast”?

These are real scams circulating right now, and they look legit. Here’s your quick anti-scam checklist 🔍

1️⃣ Is the sender’s email or number slightly off (weird domain or random digits)?
2️⃣ Does the message sound urgent or threatening?
3️⃣ Are you being asked for a password or code?
4️⃣ Does it include a suspicious link or QR code?

If even one of these feels off, don’t click.

12/03/2025

Here’s how to stay safe from scammers:

✔ Never click suspicious links
✔ Don’t give out your password or code
✔ Always double-check the sender

Stay alert, and share this post to help others.
