Do you ever struggle with knowing what to eat or how to prepare healthy meals for yourself or your family? Nutrition Made Easy may be just what you need!

Purdue Extension – Scott County is offering this FREE six-session program focused on nutrition, healthy food preparation, and practical cooking skills. Participants will even learn about cooking with an air fryer and using an Instant Pot! 🍽️

🧠 Train Your Brain Recap!

What a great turnout at Syria Christian Church We had 40 participants for Train Your Brain: Nutrition, Neurobics & Notable Ways to Keep Your Brain Healthy, in collaboration with IU Health and the Rural Dementia Network.

We talked about nutrition, brain health, the 10 warning signs of Alzheimer’s and dementia, the differences between the two, and the importance of exercise—including simple exercises you can do from your chair!

A special thank-you to Natasha Hopper and Lucie Scott for answering questions and providing additional dementia and Alzheimer’s resources. Thank you also to Melissa Moffatt for offering free blood pressure screenings and sharing information about her free fall prevention class!

🥗 Lunch was provided by the Rural Dementia Network and sourced from Lost River Co-op & Cafe Thank you for helping make this program possible!
