REMINDER: Sump Memorial Library and the Digital Library at Papillion Landing will be closed on Monday, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day. Sump will reopen at 9 AM on Tuesday (05/26/26). The Digital Library will reopen at 11 AM on Tuesday (05/26/26).

NEW LIMITED ADVENTURE PASS: The Library has passes for the next Opera Omaha performances in June. Passes are limited and cannot be cancelled, so please be sure that you are able to attend the showing before booking.
An Opera Omaha pass provides redemption instructions to access two free balcony tickets to the current production, "Unshakeable", from June 5-7. Performances will take place at the Hoff Family Arts and Culture Center in Council Bluffs (1001 S 6th St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501).

Once the pass is received via email, patrons can use the redemption instructions to book their seats with Opera Omaha. Additional tickets may also be purchased at that time at a cost.

TEENS: Earn your volunteer hours this summer with the Library! The Summer Reading Program runs June 1st to July 31st and a mandatory orientation in May for all teen volunteers. You have four chances to attend any one of these orientation sessions at Sump. At this orientation you will learn the expectations of volunteering, what to do, and how to sign up. Must be going into at least 7th grade in the fall to volunteer. Snacks provided!
