The foundation benefits the diverse needs of Sarpy and Cass county communities Together, we can ensure a bright future for our community.

The focus of Midlands Community Foundation is to assist with community development by improving and enhancing the quality of life for the residents of Sarpy and Cass counties. The Midlands Community Foundation Board of Directors is made up of individuals from the Sarpy and Cass county areas who bring a high degree of involvement to the Foundation and its mission. Midlands Community Foundation began as a community-based foundation in 1994. Since that time, Midlands Community Foundation has enriched many local organizations through gifts and grants totaling more than $4 million. The Foundation has placed an emphasis on prevention and education. It is the Foundation's belief that we are to serve these "not for profit" organizations for the betterment of the community. The Foundation accomplishes its mission by awarding grants to non-profit organizations within its service area without regard to economic status or race. The Foundation has a strong commitment toward programs benefiting health, art, culture, community, economic development, education and human services. It is vital that Midlands Community Foundation supports these organizations so they may develop and nurture the community as a whole. The Foundation raises dollars for its general fund through two major sources each year, the Annual Golf Tournament and the Annual Reflection Ball. All gifts, large and small, enable Midlands Community Foundation to advance its tradition of financial support to benefit the needs of the community it serves.

We are excited to announce that MCF's Charitable Match Program is returning for the 2026/2027 giving season! Mark your calendars for December 1st through January 5th; when your gifts go further for the MCF charitable funds you love to support. https://midlandscommunity.org/match-program/

Under the Match Program, MCF will provide matching funds for NEW contributions made to existing and newly created Affiliated General, Designated, Donor Advised, Field of Interest, and Scholarship Funds up to $5,000 per individual donor, and subject to a maximum of $100,000 for all MCF Funds. If more than $100,000 is contributed, the matching dollars will be pro-rated based on the total contributions made to all funds.

Mark your calendars for an elegant evening of dining and community celebration! MCF's annual fundraiser gala will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2027, at The Astro Theater.

Proceeds from the gala will directly benefit the Midlands Community Foundation Fund. Through its grants and discretionary giving programs, MCF will support the needs of nonprofit organizations serving Sarpy and Cass counties in the areas of arts, community and economic development, education, health and human services.

Full event details will be released in the coming weeks. We also look forward to highlighting our outstanding Reflection Award recipients, Kathy and Patrick Sullivan, as well as our Gala Honorary Chairs, Mary and Jeff Davis.
