Help us congratulate Montana Wood, who was promoted from officer to sergeant today!

Sergeant Wood is the first female sergeant in Paradise Police history! She is a K9 handler, a field training officer, defensive tactics instructor, taser instructor and has achieved many more accomplishments in her time here at Paradise Police. She is a Paradise native and a military veteran. We are very proud of her and all of her achievements and are excited for her future with our department!

Residential burning will be suspended Monday, June 15th, 2026, in the State Responsibility Areas of Butte County. The ban is in conjunction with all Northern Region CAL FIRE Units. Please see News Release for details.

On Monday, May 25, firefighters extinguished a structure fire in Paradise. During the subsequent investigation, Law Enforcement Officers identified the cause as being arson, and made an arrest. See the news release for details.

Paradise Police Traffic Alert: Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Skyway is now open for through traffic.

Paradise Police Traffic Alert: Skyway is closed between Wagstaff Road and Clark Road due to emergency repairs following a water line strike during PID construction work. Use Clark Road as a detour. Expect delays through the morning commute.
