We are thrilled to report that the new playground equipment is in at Burkhart Creek and ready to provide many many hours of enjoyment.
The color scheme and design was chosen to aesthetically blend in with the nature park and the fun it brings will be a great asset for those renting the Pierce shelter house for their church and family picnics .

At the end of the year we were lucky enough to be able to order some wonderful new playground equipment for Burkhart Creek Park. We wanted to surprise everyone because it will be a fantastic addition to the nature park. We had it scheduled to go in this week and was looking forward to our announcement. But two weeks ago someone decided to target practice and shot the large climbing frog at the Pierce shelter house causing damage to both eyes. These items are expensive and so many families have countless hours of enjoyment from them. It is sad there are a few that do things like this with no care for the taxpayers who pay for the items and the families who enjoy them so much.  We are still currently installing the new playground and we are very excited about it but incidents like this are always things that we must consider before we continue to add nice things to the Parks.
The new playground will be ready for you by Friday. If you visit, please do not climb on the equipment until the yellow caution tape has been removed.
