Calling all bakers Paragon Volunteer Fire Company Annually Fish Fry is fast approaching Labor Day weekend starting Friday at 11am to 10pm Saturday 10am to 10pm Sunday 10am to 9pm. We need Desserts you can start bringing them by at 9am Friday. We know we have wonderful cooks in our area. Can't wait to see your donation.

The roadway is open

Outdated information 🚨 ROAD CLOSURE – WAGGONER RD 🚨

Update: 8/17/2026 9:45 AM- The tree and power lines are still accross the road and the road still remains closed.

Waggoner Rd is currently CLOSED due to trees blocking the roadway. 🌳🚒

Please avoid the area and use an alternate route while crews work to clear the roadway.

⚠️ PARAGON RD IS NOW CLOSED. ⚠️

Water continues to rise near the boat ramp, and Morgan County Highway has closed the gates due to unsafe conditions.

🚧 Please do not go around the gates or drive through the water. Use an alternate route and avoid the area.

⚠️ Please be aware that additional roads in the area may have water over the roadway as conditions continue to change.

🌊 TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN! Never drive through flooded roadways. You can't always see how deep the water is or what may be underneath.

Paragon Volunteer Fire Company was called to a possible Electrical Fire upon arrival 1702 found no fire but smoke in the home. After search of the house it discovered a Electrical out had burnt. Please when using multiply plug adapters use them with care and how they we're designed to use.

Paragon Volunteer Fire Company has officially reached 500 calls for service in 2026!

For comparison, our department responded to 458 calls during all of 2025. Reaching 500 calls already this year means we have surpassed our entire 2025 call volume by 9.2% — and we still have several months left in 2026! 📈

• Ray Township – 14 calls (24%)
↳ Town of Paragon – 5 calls
• Baker Township – 9 calls (16%)
• Mutual Aid Assists/Other – 12 calls (21%)

🚑• EMS – 34 calls (59%)
🚒• Fire – 14 calls (24%)
👍• Good Intent – 0 calls (0%)
👨‍🚒• Standby – 10 calls (17%)

🎡 During July, our department also provided EMS coverage at the Morgan County Fair. Fair coverage is included in the Standby numbers above.

🔥 Year-to-date, the department has responded to 488 calls, compared to 273 calls during the same time in 2025 — a 79% increase in call volume!
