Yesterday our city proudly celebrated Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, and the enduring pursuit of equality. It was wonderful to come together as a community to honor this important chapter in our nation’s history, celebrate African American culture, and reflect on the progress we have made while recognizing the work that still lies ahead.

Honored to be invited by WSPA - California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to speak with college students about my career journey and experiences in public service. It’s always inspiring to connect with the next generation of leaders, hear their ideas, and encourage them to pursue their goals.

I truly enjoy opportunities like this because investing in our young people means investing in our future. Thank you to WSPA for the invitation and to all the students who participated in such a great discussion. I look forward to seeing the positive impact each of you will make in your communities and beyond.

Had a wonderful time walking with our seniors today! It was great to get outside, enjoy some exercise, and spend time together as a community.
