Earlier today, we cut the ribbon on our latest development on Island Road in Mahwah, NJ - 15 units of affordable, supportive, permanent housing for our neighbors with developmental and/or physical disabilities.

This is Bergen County’s United Way & Madeline Corporation’s 6th project in Mahwah, but like all of our projects, it showcases the dedication to teamwork and collaboration of various agencies on the municipal, county, and state level.

Thank you to all who joined us for the celebration this morning and for everyone’s hard work to turn this vacant lot into a place to call home 💙🏡

Owned by Ramsey Housing Inc., Bergen County’s United Way/Madeline Housing Partners are proud to have developed these beautiful homes for our most deserving neighbors. We are incredibly grateful for the Borough of Ramsey and Bergen County’s HOME Investment Partnership Program, and to the many community leaders, advocates, and supporters whose partnership brought this project to fruition. 

Home is so much more than four walls. Home is safety. Home is belonging. Home is independence. Home is community. 

And today, we celebrated six more doors opening to it all. 🏡

This morning we celebrated the opening of our newest home in Hillsdale, NJ. The ribbon-cutting of this four-bedroom group home represents an important step forward in expanding access to safe, affordable, supportive housing in our state.

We are so grateful for Bergen County’s HOME Program, NJHMFA’s Special Need Housing Trust Fund, Borough of Hillsdale and Blue Foundry Bank for making projects like this possible. Also, a special thanks to Jack Fatigati for his contribution in support of Judith House II.

One month ago, on March 18, supporters, partners, and residents of Bergen County’s United Way and Madeline Corporation gathered at the Westmount Country Club for a night of connection, purpose, and impact.

Our Annual Gala is not only a celebration of the homes we’ve built and lives we’ve changed, but a chance to be inspired by those individuals to continue to raise funds in support of our mission.

Building and preserving affordable housing across New Jersey is our privilege, but we can’t do it without the support of our community.

NJ faces an 𝙚𝙭𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚 shortage of affordable housing, so Bergen County’s United Way & Madeline Corporation are responding with 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. With 8 projects under construction and plenty more in the pipeline, these homes will open doors for families, survivors of domestic abuse, seniors, veterans, and individuals with special needs across the state.
