The Paramus Rotary Peace Park

The Paramus Rotary Club is establishing a Peace Park adjacent to the Band Shell on the Public Library property near the intersection of Century and Spring Valley Roads. This theme will be carried out through ag

e-appropriate contests in the schools as well as other entertaining community-wide events aimed at involving Paramus residents in these critical issues. In the center of the Peace Park, the Rotary club will erect a multi-sided Peace Pole with the inscription “May Peace Prevail on Earth” on each side of the pole. Each inscription will be in a different language, representative of the languages most spoken in Paramus. The design of the Park incorporates a gazebo, benches, informational markers and plantings. Similar poles have been erected around the world. A dedication ceremony is planned for June 5, 2011. Thereafter, annual, theme-based contests will be held and the contest winners’ work will be displayed and winners will be acknowledged at a community-wide Rotary Peace Park celebration. The Peace Park offers opportunities to promote your business or honor someone special with an engraved paver for only $100.00 each or an engraved bench for $1500.00 each

Please note: all requests must be recieved by April 8, 2011, there after pavers will cost $150.00 each and will not be part of the initial dedication ceramony. Please submit all engraved paver/bench considerations with your check made payable to The Paramus Rotary Foundation Inc to:
