🇺🇸 The City of Paris Public Works Department will begin hanging Veteran Tribute banners. 🇺🇸

If you have a Veteran Tribute banner, please deliver it to the Public Works Building, located at 4 Legion Drive, by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026.

The banners will be displayed in honor of America’s 250th anniversary during the Blue Grass Federal Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, September 19, and will remain on display through the end of November.

⚠️Planned Power Outage Notice⚠️

The Electric Department is planning a brief power outage tonight, Tuesday, August 4, at or shortly after midnight to repair an issue with a utility pole at the corner of Cypress Street and Boone Street.

This outage will affect multiple customers and is expected to last up to one hour. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as crews complete these necessary repairs.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED

July 31, 2026 @ 4:15pm

Crews worked quickly yesterday to repair the broken water main in the Redbud subdivision. This afternoon the Bac-t samples came back and in conjunction with the Division of Water we have determined the advisory can be safely lifted.

We appreciate the hard work and dedication of our crews who work in all forms of weather conditions to ensure the public has access to utilities such as water and sewer.

Update: BOIL WATER ADVISORY HAS BEEN LIFTED AS OF July 31st 5:30 PM

July 30, 2026 @ 9:30am

Water Main Break on Redbud Lane - City of Paris

Field Operations was notified of a water main break this morning and have been working to uncover the leak.

Now that the water main has been exposed, a similar problem as the last several main breaks on Bethlehem Road has been rediscovered - a split in the main that will require cutting out a section of the water main and replacing it.

Pressure issues are being experienced, and a boil water advisory is being issued immediately for the following areas:

- Redbud subdivision
- Houston Oaks Subdivision
- Windham Hills Court
- Parkside/Park Place Court

Please follow CDC guidelines pertaining to safe water consumption until more information becomes available.

9th Street will be a one-way street from Pleasant Street to High Street beginning on Monday, July 27th at 8 a.m. This will be a permanent change to traffic/flow pattern. Please use caution when driving in this area.
