United Way of Lamar County The United Way brings together people and resources to build a safety net to help meet the needs of our friends, neighbors, co-workers and families.

A constant reminder that when we as individuals think outside ourselves, we have the power to facilitate change. When we think of others’ lives as linked to our own, our compassion grows. When we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all. We build the strength of our neighborhoods. We bolster the health of our communities. And we change the lives of those who walk by us every day.

As the first week of September comes to a close, we are happy to announce that our Campaign is currently at $81,112 or 14% of our goal. Thank you to all who have already sent in their pledge or donation! You can mail your donation to PO Box 1, Paris TX 75460 or drop it at our office at 2340 Lamar Avenue, or make a one-time or monthly donation online at

Our focus is on Youth Opportunity, Healthy Community, Financial Security and Community Resiliency—the building blocks for a good quality of life.
