Due to feedback from the community about the potential proposal for developing an age friendly senior residential community, that was to be considered by the Fiscal Court at the 8/27 meeting, the submitter of the proposal has asked to postpone any consideration until more communication regarding the proposed development can happen, for the benefit of the citizens. It has been taken off the agenda for the 8/27 meeting and the Magistrates will not be asked to vote on the proposal.

The Bourbon County Road Department would like to ask for the public's help in finding the person or individuals who cut the lock off our back gate and stole a box trailer from our back lot that belonged to the Bourbon County Sherriff’s Department. We believe this theft occurred in broad daylight between the hours of 9:00AM and 9:00PM on Saturday August 15th.
**Any information provided will be strictly confidential and only used in finding the property that was taken from us.
We may be prompted to stop our limb drop off program if such behavior continues. This program allows citizens to bring in limb debris cleared from their own property here in Bourbon County free of charge. Any information that someone can provide is appreciated. Please call the Sheriff's Department at (859)987-2130 or the Road Department at (859)987-2148.

PSA: The Bourbon County Road Department is aware of all trees that have been cleared to the side of roads during the recent storms. They are working as quickly as possible to clear these limbs and trees. Weather permitting, they are working diligently to get limbs and trees cleaned up. The Bourbon County Park crew is working as quickly as possible to clear limbs from the county's parks. Please have patience as this storm cleanup could take several weeks.

Big shout out to our county and state road crews!! Bourbon county roads are clear of tree debris before we even knew a tree fell! We do appreciate you and your crews Steve Adkins and Jarrod Stephens!!
