The Aikin Wildcats were seeing double today! 😎✨ Our students and staff went all out for Twin Day as we celebrate Homecoming Week! From matching outfits to some seriously fun twin looks, our hallways were full of smiles, school spirit, and a whole lot of TWINS! 🥰
We even had some Wildcat twins and a few staff members who definitely understood the assignment! 😂🐾
We love seeing our Aikin family join in the fun and make Homecoming Week so special! 💙🤍

Aikin cordially invites Grandparents to lunch the week of September 14th to 17th. APA will be holding a Book Fair that week. Grandparents are welcome to take your grandchild by the Book Fair after having lunch with them. Please see the graphic below for lunch times and dates for each grade level.

Homecoming week is here!!! Monday is Skittles Day!! Each grade level has a different color to wear!! We can’t wait to see the rainbow of colors in the halls!!

🐾💙 Our First Wildcat Assembly of the Year! 💙🐾
Our 2nd and 3rd graders kicked off the year with an AMAZING first Wildcat Assembly! 🎉
Our counselors shared a wonderful lesson on KINDNESS and reminded our Wildcats that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a BIG difference! 💙
Then it was time for some friendly competition with our Minute to Win It: Simon Says challenge! Each class sent a student to the front to participate, and our Wildcats showed off their listening skills, smiles, and school spirit! 👏😄
We ended the assembly in true Wildcat fashion—singing our “Loyal and True” school song and dancing together to “Made for This”! 🎶🐾
What a fun way to start the year! We are proud of our Wildcats and the kindness, respect, and spirit they bring to Aikin each day.
We are Loyal. We are True. We are Wildcats! 🐾💙🤍
And we were MADE FOR THIS! 🙌🎶

Aikin Wildcats, Homecoming is August 31st - September 3rd!!! We will have dress up days for anyone that wishes to participate!!! Please see graphic below! Dress code WILL be enforced and MUST be followed!

🚌💙 Hop On the Energy Bus at Aikin! 💙🚌
What better way to kick off our journey toward a positive year at Aikin than with a special read-aloud from our very own principal, Mrs. McKinney! 📚✨
Mrs. McKinney and Reading Coach, Mrs. England, visited classrooms to share The Energy Bus for Kids, and our Wildcats loved learning about the importance of having a positive attitude, making positive choices, and bringing good energy wherever we go. The students even learned about the Five Ways to Get on the Energy Bus! 🚌🌟
While our students are enjoying the kids' version, our Aikin staff is diving into the adult version of The Energy Bus as part of our staff book study. 📖💙
Our goal this year is simple: CREATE A POSITIVE PLACE FOR OUR STAFF AND STUDENTS TO LEARN, GROW, AND THRIVE!
We’re excited to see where this Energy Bus takes us! 🚌✨
