Ready to learn the basics of sewing and create something you can be proud of? Look no further! 🍀

Our Unit 1 Sewing program is perfect for beginners! This 6-week series will introduce youth to the fundamentals of sewing, while giving them the chance to create their own projects! Previous sewing experience is not required!

The 2026 Country Ham Project has come to an end!

Congratulations to J.W. Wyles, whose hard work throughout the project earned him FIRST PLACE in his age division!

This year was Bourbon County 4-H’s FIRST year curing, cleaning, and hanging our hams in our own Ham Barn here in Paris! Thank you to the Farm Bureau team for supporting the growth of our program and helping to provide this opportunity for the youth in our community! None of this would have been possible without your support and generosity!

Meet Sawyer Brokeing! A University of Kentucky alumnus with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture. Sawyer is currently pursuing his master’s degree in architecture.

His connection to UK Extension runs deep. He joined as a Cloverbud, competed in county fairs, attended Teen Conference, and spent summers at 4-H camp. He even worked on staff at North Central 4-H Camp with his brother, who is now a Kentucky 4-H agent.

This summer, Sawyer blended his two passions in his studio, working on the Flood House project at the UK Robinson Center. Developed in response to devastating floods in Eastern Kentucky, this modular structure gave students hands-on design experience. It is a collaboration between Gray, including Gray Construction and Gray AES, UK Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, and the University of Kentucky College of Design.

Campers have two full days of classes under their belts, participated in Water Olympics, and much more!! We are having a blast!

After dinner, we are finishing our day with tonight’s evening activity, Sally Down the Alley, and our closing campfire! 🍀
