Lamar County CERT 27 Team members ready to provide community preparedness education and emergency response. Memebers are essentially the first responders to the first responders.

Lamar County CERT members fill a important need in the overall emergency management services of Lamar County. The program is open to everyone 18 years and older and there is something for everyone todo! CERT Teams are for those who want to help but may not want to go through such extensive train as our volunteer fire department and medical first responders go through. CERT Members on field teams c

an provide damage assessment after a significant event, can assist with traffic control during special events, will have training to assist with POD sites, first aid stations, rehab stations ( fire scenes), and many other areas of response.
