The new fitness court has been named the host site for the 2026 Murph Challenge!

Park City, KS – F3 Wichita, a local chapter of F3 Nation, is proud to announce its selection as an Official Host Site for the 2026 Murph Challenge, taking place on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, at 9:00 AM. This free event is open to all and will take place at the new Fitness Court in Park Centre located near 2225 E Beaumont St, Park City, KS 67219.

This year’s event is hosted in partnership with the City of Park City and W.I.T., bringing together men, women, families, veterans, first responders, and community members to honor the sacrifices of America’s fallen heroes through fitness, fellowship, and remembrance.

The Murph Challenge is inspired by the legacy of Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL who gave his life during Operation Red Wings in Afghanistan and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor. What began as one Navy SEAL’s favorite workout has become a nationwide Memorial Day tradition honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the United States.

As an Official Murph Challenge Host Site, F3 Wichita joins communities across the nation in carrying forward the mission of remembrance and service that defines Memorial Day. The event also celebrates the recent partnership between F3 Wichita and the City of Park City surrounding the community’s new Fitness Court, designed to promote free outdoor fitness opportunities for the public.

“Murph is about more than fitness,” said Kyle Tucker from F3 Wichita. “It’s about honoring sacrifice, building community, and challenging ourselves physically and mentally alongside others. We’re excited to partner with WIT and the City of Park City to make this a meaningful event for the entire community.”

The event is free and open to the public. Participants are encouraged to arrive early and bring water, workout gear, and friends or family members who would like to attend. Coffee, water and fruit will be provided.

National Police Week honors the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers across our nation. Peace Officers Memorial Day, observed on May 15, remembers officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

In 1962, Congress authorized National Police Week and Peace Officers Memorial Day, and President John F. Kennedy signed it into law.

This week is a reminder that public safety is a shared community effort. The Park City Police Department is grateful for the trust and support of the citizens we serve, and we ask our community to join us in remembering the officers and families who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Thank you for allowing us the privilege of serving Park City.

Great progress at our new Park City Aquatic Center!
On Tuesday night, Council and I toured the aquatics facility,,,,this long-awaited community project nears completion.
It’s exciting to see the slides, current channel, and all the features coming together. This is a modest-sized facility that perfectly fits our community, it has been thoughtfully designed to be well used and enjoyed for years to come.

This is another great example of a community supported project that residents identified OUR need, backed the 1% sales tax, and now we are delivering on that vision together.
Can’t wait for families to start making memories at OUR Park City aquatics facility!

Councilman Terry Osburn (Ward 4) was selected by the City Council to be the Council President. He will discharge the duties of the mayor during temporary absences or disability.

Terry and his wife Bernadette have resided in Park City since December 2018. He retired in February 2023 after 43 years in the agricultural business industry, most recently with CHS, Inc., based in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. After many years of living in Iowa and Minnesota, they were fortunate to move back closer to family and friends in the Wichita area, which ultimately brought them to Park City.

Terry has been involved in Scouting America for many years and has served as Scoutmaster of Troop 584 in Andover for the past five years. They have two sons and two grandsons who are Eagle Scouts, and a third grandson well on his journey to achieving Eagle Scout rank.

He stays active by working out five days a week with F3 Wichita, having completed 500 miles of rucking in 2025, with a goal of reaching 600 miles in 2026.

Terry and his wife enjoy camping, spending time on their boat at Cheney Lake, riding their Can-Am Spyder, and most of all, spending time with their three grandsons.

Thank you to our dedicated public servants!

January 9 is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. 👮

Today, the City of Park City recognizes and thanks the dedicated men and women of the Park City Police Department who serve our community every day. 🙏

Policing is often demanding, complex, and carried out quietly behind the scenes. Through professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to public service, our officers work to keep Park City safe while building trust and relationships within the community they serve.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Park City Police Department—and to their families—for the sacrifices they make in service to our city. 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Thank you for your dedication to Park City. 💙🚓
