🥔 National Potato Day 🥔

Without all of our summer friends here every day, things have gotten a little strange around the aquatic center.

We're not saying we've run out of things to post about, but today's national holiday is literally a vegetable.

Luckily, it's also National Humanitarian Day. So while we've spent a concerning amount of time thinking about potatoes, we also took some time to donate food to Park City Pride and support our community.

Because even when we're celebrating random holidays, we still like to do some good.

Happy National Potato Day from your favorite aquatic professionals who are clearly handling the end of summer very normally.

🚌Weekly Photo Dump: Back-to-School Edition 🚌

We know everyone waits patiently for these each week, and we're happy to report that things still happened around here even after the staff headed back to school.

This week we hosted an incredible Sensory Swim, delivered a mountain of school supplies (collected by our amazing patrons) to Chisholm Trail, and even got back-to-school photos from the guards.

We also had to rescue one of our lead guards after she accidentally locked herself inside the pool. Some people make memories. Some people become the memory.😂🥰

Enjoy this week's photo dump and the proof that the staff may be back in school, but the entertainment value remains high.

⭐ Lifeguard of the Week: Kinzleigh ⭐

This week we're recognizing Kinzleigh!

Kinzleigh has been an absolute breath of fresh air on our team this summer. She is always willing to help wherever needed, keeps a positive attitude, and goes with the flow no matter what the day brings. Her work ethic is nothing short of a force of nature, and she consistently lifts up those around her.

You could even say she's the wind beneath our wings.

⛈Although this cool air and overcast weather feels amazing after last week's attempt to turn Kansas into the surface of the sun, we are canceling our morning programming.

Enjoy the cool weather while it lasts. We all know Kansas is just setting us up before yelling, "Surprise, I'm back!" and blasting us with heat again later this week.☀🫠

🎓 Senior Sunday! 🎓

It feels like just yesterday they were... well, technically we only met these amazing Seniors in May, but we’re pretty sure everyone who has known them longer is feeling all the emotions about the fact that they just started their Senior Year! 🥹

We are so proud of our Seniors and the hard work, dedication, and leadership they bring to the Aquatic Center. We know they are going on to do amazing things, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for them! 💚

Back to School: Third Edition 🚌

Here is your weekly back-to-school photo drop! 📸

The last couple of days have been a little quieter out at the pool as our little life-saving angels have traded their whistles for backpacks and headed back to school. 🎒

We know school is important (and we are pretty proud of them for being responsible humans 😉), but we have definitely missed having them around! The good news? They are all back today and ready to relive their summer glory, one whistle blow and pool rotation at a time.

Join us today from 12–6 PM for some pool time and a chance to see your favorite lifeguards back in action! 💚

A few weeks ago we pointed out that our water was a refreshing 82° while Miami's ocean was sitting at 86°.

Well...we checked again.

Our water is now under 82°.
Miami is now 87°.

At this point, we have absolutely no idea how our manager is pulling this off. Either temperature control is her secret superpower, or this pool was built on top of some kind of magical underground ice spring.

We're not asking questions. We're just enjoying the fact that stepping into our water doesn't feel like entering a giant bathtub.

Join us this Saturday and Sunday to enjoy water that's somehow cooler than the Atlantic Ocean. We can't explain it. We can only sell admission to it.

Evey has been a lifesaver for our team....giggle giggle...😜
She has stepped in at the last minute to help cover, or simply been the ultimate sub when we've needed her. She is kind to everyone, always willing to help, and we are so blessed to have her on our team!
