Park City is home to two resorts: Park City Mountain and Deer Valley Resort. The Park City and Deer Valley ski resorts were the major locations for ski and snowboarding events at the 2002 Winter Olympics. 2. The content I post reflects my own original thoughts or work.

· Comments containing defamation against a person, either as determined by a court or comments that are patently defamatory by easily discovered facts.

· Comments that contain images or other content that violate the intellectual property or copyright rights of someone else, if the owner of that property notifies us that the property was posted in a comment on a City social media site.

· Comments that solicit, promote, or endorse specific commercial services, products, or entities.

· Comments that may compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems.

· Comments that contain information that directly interferes with or compromises ongoing investigations, public safety tactics, or the safety of public safety officers.

7. I understand that I may be blocked from accessing the City’s page for violations of the City’s policy for City social media sites.

8. I understand that the views and comments expressed on this site only reflect those of the comment’s author and do not necessarily reflect the views of the City, its elected and appointed officers and employees, or its departments and agencies.

9. Waiver of Liability. Because various laws exist that create liability for various actions, including but without limitation defamation, invasion of privacy, false light, breach of contract, procurement violations, violations of due process, among many potential areas of exposure for which the City accepts no responsibility based on the actions of others or for creating this social media site, I, for myself, successors, and assigns, release and agree to indemnify the City, including its officers and employees, from any and all actions, claims, liabilities, and damages of whatever kind and nature arise out of or in connection with my use of the City social media site. Please join us in congratulating Park City Police Department-Utah's Lieutenant Clint Johnson, Sergeant Clayton Eves, Officer Zachary Williams, and Officer Rick Penrod!

The four were sworn in by Mayor Ryan Dickey during a ceremony at the City Council meeting last night. Lt. Johnson and Sgt. Eves were promoted, while Ofc. Penrod and Ofc. Williams were re-hired after leaving the agency and returning.

Here are some event impacts to be aware of:
• 6 a.m.-1 p.m. – Vehicles and parking will be removed from Main Street, Swede Alley, Heber Avenue, and Park Avenue

Please plan to ride Park City Transit, walk, bike, or carpool to the festivities.

Free parking with free transit:
• Richardson Flat Park-and-Ride (10-minute frequency to Old Town Transit Center from 9:05 a.m.-1:15 p.m.)
• Park City School District
• Park City Mountain and Deer Valley Resort
• Increased Transit routes with a bus lane on Deer Valley Drive

Our Parks team planted three Honey Locust trees along Holiday Ranch Loop Road today, marking a Resolution made by the City Council proclaiming August 28, 2026, as Arbor Day in Park City, and celebrating Park City's 33rd anniversary as a recognized “Tree City USA Community."

These trees are hardy and hold up well to the stress of winter conditions.
